The Zoological and Botanical Park is located in the Rebberg district of Mulhouse, on the edge of the Tannenwald forest. It covers 25 hectares and features more than 1,200 animals from 170 species, as well as 3,500 varieties of plants. It is one of France's oldest zoos, and offers you the chance to cross paths with species from all over the world in a peaceful, tree-lined setting. To visit the park in its entirety, allow between 3 hours and a full day, for a decorative stroll à only a few minutes from the town centre of Mulhouse. The zoological and botanical park is open every day of the year, including public holidays. The park has been awarded the national label Jardin remarquable » by the Ministry of Culture for its botanical collections: remarkable trees, gardens of irises, peonies and rhododendrons. The Park is involved in around 100 international breeding and conservation programmes.
