What is a meublé de tourisme?

A meublé de tourisme is an accommodation (gîte, flat, villa, unusual accommodation) à exclusive use of the tenant, offered for rent à a passing customer. The latter is staying for a day, a week or a month (a maximum of 3 consecutive months for the same tenant) and does not live there. It meets minimum conditions of comfort and habitability laid down by decree. Furnished tourist accommodation is subject to a 1-5 classification based on a points system, with 133 control points organised around 3 chapters:

• Facilities and improvements
• Accessibility and sustainable development

Classification is optional and valid for 5 years. The furnished accommodation must be declared to the town hall.

The steps to follow to classify your accommodation

We will contact you to arrange a visit to your accommodation.
1. A Gîtes de France® Alsace advisor will carry out the visit and check the 133 classification criteria defined by Atout France. This visit takes place in your presence or that of your representative.
2. Following the visit, we undertake to send you, within one month, the visit certificate including the inspection report and the inspection grid in approved formats and the classification decision.

3. You have 15 days in which to contest the decision.

 

The information collected when you place your order is necessary to manage your file. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended, and with the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD), you have the right to access and rectify any information concerning you.
