With more than 450 exceptional vehicles, the Musée National de l'Automobile houses one of the most beautiful and important automobile collections in the world! Discover the evolution of the automotive industry through this exceptional collection, which includes vehicles protected as historic monuments, Rolls Royce and the many Bugatti acquired by Hans and Fritz Schlumpf. The two brothers, textile industrialists with a passion for classic cars, devoted their fortunes to the company. In the mid-20th century, they bought a former woolen mill Mulhouse in which the museum is now located.
Restoration of vehicles, educational missions, ... The museum has been involved in a wide range of activities since it opened in 1982. Every visitor is spoilt for choice: a karting track for children, a tonneau car to raise awareness of road safety, or even driving one's own car on the museum's autodrome - there's something for everyone!"
