The decoration is based on objects found in barns and attics that evoke old village life. Feel free to sit in the small enclosed courtyard, pick a few herbs from the vegetable garden or sit in the orchard for a picnic in the shade of the old cherry tree. In the heart of the Cleebourg vineyards, Steinseltz is a charming little village nestling in a valley bordered by vineyards and orchards. Here you'll find a fine collection of half-timbered houses with high cellars where winegrowers used to store their barrels. Situated close to Wissembourg and Hunspach, the site offers great opportunities for walking and exploring. Close to the border with Germany, the region is full of historic sites that bear witness to the battles of 1870 and 1940-1945, such as the Geisberg monuments and the Schoenenbourg fort.
