Sébastien Loeb

A child of Haguenau

Sébastien Loeb, born on 26 February 1974 in Haguenau, is a French rally driver. In 1999, he took part in the World Rally Championship for the first time. A world record-holder with 59 victories to his name, he was French champion and also won the Junior Super 1600 World Rally Championship (JWRC) in 2001, and from 2004 to 2009 he was WRC World Champion with co-driver Daniel Elena, who has been driving for Citroën ever since his first rally. Some observers consider Sébastien Loeb to be not only the greatest rally driver of all time, but also one of the most accomplished in the business.
