The heir of four generations of Alsatian pâtissier bakers, Pierre Hermé is a French confectioner-chocolatier born in Colmar on 20 November 1961. He completed his apprenticeship with Gaston Lenocirc;tre, the great master of French watchmaking, and founded his own brand in 1998. Curious about everything, Pierre Hermé shakes up the traditions and codes of the trade, while producing meticulous work and taking great care to pass on his know-how. Renowned from Paris to New York and Tokyo, this key figure in French gastronomy is renowned for his bold combinations of tastes, textures and flavours. In 2016, he was named World's Best Pâtissier.
