Christine Ferber

An Alsatian woman's journey to fulfil her dreams

Born on 11 May 1960 in Colmar, Alsace. Christine Ferber is a French patissier, chocolatier and confectioner, co-owner of La Maison Ferber Niedermorschwihr. It sells more than 200,000 jars of jam worldwide every year. In the 1970s, she enrolled at CERIA, a specialised engineering school in Brussels. At the end of her studies at this Belgian institution, she obtained a brevet de compagnon pâtissier, confiseur et chocolatier. After that, she returned to France and took part in the national competition for young pâtissiers, which she won. She then packed her bags and headed for Paris, where she worked for a year at the Maison Peltier. In 1980 she returned to Alsace, where she took over the family business.
