Chris Marques

Three-time world salsa champion

Born on 16 June 1978 in Colmar as Jean-Christophe Marques, Chris Marques is a world-renowned dancer and choreographer. The Alsatian of Portuguese origin has been immersed in the universe of music and the arts for as long as he can remember, with a mother who was a flamenco fan and a father who sang in a music group. He started dancing at the age of 12 and 5 years later moved to the UK to perfect his technique. In 2004, he achieved a treble by becoming British, European and world champion in salsa, a title he held for three consecutive years. In 2011 he became one of the judges on Danse avec les stars as well as the artistic director of the show, which brought him to the attention of the general public, particularly for his fastidious nature and his experience in Latin dances. The accomplished dancer and choreographer becomes a host on TF1 for the Good Singers mission in 2022.
