Welcome to Les Berges de la Thur, a large, beautiful manor house dating from 1926, on the banks of the River Thur in Staffelfelden. Located on the 1st floor of the house, our 4 guest rooms exude calm, relaxation and comfort.
Each one evokes a typical feature of the region. Bright, harmonious and beautifully personalised, with paintings by Clarisse, the lady of the house, they have been tastefully decorated and offer all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay: hotel-style bedding with cosy duvets, armchairs or sofas, private bathroom with shower/washbasin/WC (baby bed and extra bed possible). All rooms have a view of the river Thur, the summer swimming pool or the garden.
You'll start your day with pleasure and indulgence, thanks to the Alsatian brioches, cakes or tarts, pastries, seasonal specialities, breads and jams made by Rémy, the master of the house, who is a pastry chef and baker! Dairy products, fruit juice, seasonal fruit, cereals, a savoury product (on request) and, of course, coffee, chocolate, teas or herbal teas complete the range of delights on a beautifully laid table in the guest lounge. The lounge is open at all hours for a moment of relaxation (armchairs, library, board games, tourist information brochures, TV, herbal tea room) or a snack (kitchenette and crockery available in a small adjoining room).
In fine weather, you can enjoy the swimming pool with its deckchairs, garden furniture and children's games in the park.
For sightseeing, Staffelfeden is 35km from Colmar and the surrounding traditional villages, 13km from Mulhouse, with its major museums and zoo, and less than 10km from the wine route, with its cellars and restaurants. The nearby Thur and Florival valleys take you to the Vosges mountains, in particular the nearby peaks of Grand Ballon and Vieil Armand. The Ecomusée d'Alsace and Parc du Petit Prince tourist attractions are less than 10 minutes away.
